Baseball Vacation 2006

Cardinals vs Braves: July 17, 2006

26
David Eckstein is ready to run after making contact.
27
Taguchi hits another fly ball to right field.
28
Yep, Taguchi's fly ball to right is caught again.
29
Albert posing again, while a fan takes a photo of Albert and me.
30
Nope another out for Albert.
31
Albert and the Cards fans are not too excited with that.
32
Edgar Renteria swings under the ball and strikes out in the 4th.
33
Andruw Jones better open his eyes if he wants to hit this pitch.
34
Andrew hits a line shot in the 4th.
35
But his line shot is caught by the 2nd baseman.
36
Busch Stadium looks pretty cool at dusk.
37
With the Cards losing badly, there are seats available up high behind home plate.
38
Fans behind home plate at Busch have a pretty good view I would say.
39
Albert launches a double.
40
Albert finishes his swing well.
41
The base of the arch in St. Louis. I had a chance to go up the arch in high school on a church choir trip, but me and 3 friends opted to play hookie and make a detour to the old Busch stadium instead. We were late when we returned, but they had not left us, so it was worth it.
42
The view from the arch is pretty good. To the right of the stadium, is the site of the old stadium which has already been demolished.
43
A closer look at the new stadium from the arch.
44
The photographer in me had to get this shot once I was this water from the top of the arch. The duck was a bonus.
45
I like the reflection of the arch here. All in all St. Louis is not a bad town, my parents even spent their honeymoon there, and my dad went to games there in the 1950's.
46
We cannot leave St. Louis without one more shot of Albert Pujols showing how to gator the ball at first base.
