DIGITAL VIDEO CAMCORDER RECOMMENDATIONS
This guide has been prepared to assist you with purchasing a new digital camcorder. It is built in association with amazon.com. I highly recommend purchasing a digital camcorder instead of an analog tape camcorder with your next camcorder purchase. I have done some initial research to select the best digital camcorders in each category, but unlike the digital camera, scanner, printer, and photo book pages, there is not a brief review of each one pointing out the more distinguishing features. However, I have done a lot of homework for you by filtering out 80-90% of the camcorders out there that many users are unhappy with. This is probably the most popular of the digital camcorder formats and the one I selected for my personal use. Recording is done to small cassette type tapes (but digital information is recorded to those tapes unlike traditional analog camcorders where analog signals are recorded to a tape). Quality is tremendous but varies from one model to another (in some ways you get what you pay for).
