Portrait Sitting Information (as of June 20, 2002)
Sitting Choices
I offer several types of portrait
sittings so that you can choose the one that best fits your needs. For all sittings:
Economy
Sitting - $45.00. This session is done with a 35mm camera. It allows for one or two backgrounds (but with
multiple groupings or poses as noted above).
There is a guarantee of at least 15 well-exposed and focused proofs (or
I will repeat the sitting at no charge).
These proofs are done on matte paper at a local drugstore.
Regular
Sitting - $50.00. This session is done with a medium format
camera which allows for much better print quality for enlargements
bigger than 8"x10". This
allows for one background. There is a
guarantee of at least 8 well-exposed and focused proofs. These proofs are done on a matte paper by a
professional lab.
Deluxe
Sitting - $65.00. This session is also done with a medium format
camera but allows for up to three different backgrounds. There is a guarantee of at least 15
well-exposed and focused proofs. These proofs are done on a matte paper by a professional
lab.
New! Color/Black&White Combo Sitting - $75.
This is done with a medium format camera and consists of a regular color
sitting and a regular black and white sitting.
This saves you $40 off the price of both sittings combined!
Local Outdoor Sittings. These are done at the lake near my house.
The fee is the same
as for indoor sittings, however economy sittings are not available. For quality purposes, I prefer that these sessions begin about 1 hour before sunset.
Location
Sittings - Available Upon Request. These are only done
occasionally, and the price usually starts at about $25.00 above the Local/Indoor
sitting fees listed above The actual price depends
upon the location and the amount of time you wish for me to be there.
I prefer these to be outdoor sittings that, for quality purposes, begin about 1 hour before sunset.
Black and
White Sittings. Add $15 for black and white sitting
fees. Note however, that it is possible
to get black and white reprints from color negatives.
Note that I do
not photograph weddings, but I enjoy doing engagement pictures, bridal portraits, etc.!
Clothing
I sometimes have customers that simply do not show up with clothing that looks good in a picture. That bold striped outfit may look nice on you or your child, but it may not look nearly as nice in a photograph. Below are suggestions to help you choose the best clothing for your portrait session.
